| Friday, 27 June 2008 Written by Sally Easton Blink and you'd miss them. The top-seeded pairing in the men's doubles - Bob and Mike Bryan - took just 71 minutes to beat Russians Igor Kunitsyn and Dmitry Tursunov, whizzing through the first set in just 19 minutes. By contrast, third seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram needed nearly three-and-a-half hours to see off the determined efforts of Australian Stephen Huss and Britain's Hutchins. Austria’s Alexander Peya celebrated his 28th birthday with a straight sets victory, along with partner Philipp Petzchner from Germany, against Serbian pair Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki. Individually the Serbs had had long singles matches yesterday, with Tipsarevic toppling Andy Roddick and Troicki losing to Radek Stepanek. In another straight sets victory, the 16th seeded Frenchmen Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut, eased their way past Sweden’s Thomas Johansson and Jurgen Melzer of Austria. Swedes were in action in a couple of other doubles matches. Jonas Bjorkman, who has teamed up with Zimbabwe's Kevin Ullyett here, saw off the attentions of Italian Flavio Cipolla and German Dennis Gremelmayr in just over two hours. But fellow Swede Johan Brunstrom and his partner, Adam Feeney of Australia, lost to Brazilian pair and twelfth seeds Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa. At last year’s Championships, the Brazilian pair famously played the most games (28-26) in the fifth set in Wimbledon history, in their second round match, which they took six hours to win. They took just 35 games to seal the entire match today.
