Live Scores Schedule of Play Draws Weather and Time PointTracker Radio Wimbledon Wimbledon LIVE
Email your feedback 8.18pm Last post for tonight guys and gals. The order of play is in. It’s a 12 noon start on Centre and No. 1. Federer and Gasquet are first up on Centre Bartoli and Venus Williams follow them on. On Court 1, it’s Djokovic and Nadal. I hope you’ve enjoyed the play today. It’s been non-stop for sure. Quite a bit of excitement. ‘See’ you all tomorrow. 8.15pm All the matches still being played are juniors doubles. I’ll just update you on the number one girls’ seeds, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, from Russia and Urszula Radwanska of Poland. (And for those of you reading closely, Anastasia was also the girls’ singles number one). They’ve bagged the first set, and are 2-1 up in the second with a break of serve, playing against Alison Bai of Australia and Monica Gorny of South Africa. Both the girls’ number ones are worth keeping an eye on for the future. 8.05pm. And breathe… Hi Masha from the Netherlands who asks about timings of the men’s final. Yup, I reckon we’d all like to know what time the boys will be on. All I can say is the singles are on track for the final to be on Sunday. Quarters today, semis tomorrow, final on Sunday. I would work on the basis that it’ll be on time at 2pm, unless you hear otherwise. 7.59pm. Andy misses a sitter half court. 0-15. Then a classy serve. Mark from the USA says: “I hope I'm wrong, but I feel like we're watching a classic Andy Roddick fold here tonight. He just can't close people out, and he who lives by the tiebreak, dies by the tiebreak!” Fantastic whipped cross court return from G for 2 match points. GASQUET WINS. 7.56pm Yup, Jason from Belize, says “I've gotta say this ya'all. Gasquet's backhand is superb, if not almost flawless!” Gasquet’s just served himself another game. 7.54pm. A-Rod serving, 5-6. The tension is palpable down here, and I’m in the basement watching on the monitor. 30-0, a couple of cracking serves. Another indirect ace. Gasquet didn’t even look at his back return and it whizzed past Roddick. But he’s got the game. 6-6. Final set, no tie-break. 7.49pm. Baseline rallies to start the game. Gasquet ace. Andy smash on a short return by G. Next point G challenges on the baseline – Hawk-Eye says out – deuce. Another G ace for advantage. Weak into the net – deuce. And game to G. 7.45pm. Andy’s pulled out a couple of aces. 5-5. 7.40pm. Taneshia from the USA asks “When is Andy going to start playing like he wants to win? He is a good player but he just can’t deliver in the end.” Vincent from France is always admiring Gasquet’s backhand. He says it’s undoubtedly his best shot, especially down the line. Gasquet is playing quite brilliantly, I reckon he can take it. And he’s just done a lovely winning backhand down the line… Andy’s now serving to stay in the match, 4-5. 7.35pm. Undoubtedly you’ll be wanting to know how Andy’s doing in the fifth set. Well, it’s all with serve just now, and getting to the crunch point. Gasquet is 4-3 up, Andy about to serve. 7.33pm. It’s just been announced that Saturday’s play on Centre Court and Court No. 1 will start at 12 noon. So the gents get an extra hour to rest up, relax, have a massage, practice, that sort of thing. But if you’re worried about them, spare a thought for the juniors. Many of them are on their third or fourth matches of the day. The number one girls’ seed, Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, has just come out for her fourth match today. She’s played three singles matches today, won 2, lost 1, and now she’s out for a doubles match. Her doubles partner is Urszula Radwanska from Poland. It was Urszula who beat Anastasia in her third singles match. Are you keeping up with all of this? 7.25pm. Jon’s now predicting Gasquet to win. I’ve just come back from reporting on a cracking Invitation Doubles match between Cedric Pioline/Goran Ivanisevic and The Woodies. The Woodies are the holder of the Invitation Cup, but they’ve just been beaten in the most entertaining fashion by Goran and Cedric. I must say Goran was a favourite here at Wimbledon long before he won in 2001. Now when he comes back he jokes around and gives everyone a lot of laughs on court. But he’s still playing quite brilliantly. A 125mph serve. Not bad for an oldster at 35 years old. 7.15pm. Wow how exciting, the number one seed is out. Bartoli has played the match of her life, don’t you think? Sally back again, by the way. How are you all? David’s gone off for a well earned bite to eat. Bartoli had 86% first serves in. Five fewer unforced errors than Henin. How good is that. So what’s still happening out there today? Roddick and Gasquet is the only singles match left running in the main draw today. Gasquet has just won the fourth set on tie-break. Roll on the fifth set. 7.07pm: And that's it. Marion Bartoli has beaten Justine Henin! She came back from being blown away in the first set, to win the match 1-6, 7-5, 6-1. Wow. Jon says the only bigger shock of the tournament is that there wasn't any rain today. 7.03pm: Bartoli is playing quite brilliantly out there. Henin's pulling out her full array of shots but the Frenchwoman is sending back everything with that powerful backhand of hers. The Belgian manages to hold on to her serve to cling onto the match by her fingertips but it's still 5-1 and now Marion is serving. Unbelievable. 6.59pm: Marion Bartoli takes another step towards the ladies' final after she holds her serve. She now has a 5-0 lead in the deciding set. Phillip David of Austria thinks he jinxed Henin when he asked a question about the Williams sisters earlier. 6.56pm: Bartoli has just broken Henin to establish a 4-0 lead. I don't think Centre Court can quite believe whats happening in front of their eyes. Bartoli has been retrieving everything that Henin has thrown at her. It's been a quite outstanding performance by the Frenchwoman. 6.54pm: We're getting a lot of questions about the Roddick-Gasquet match. Pat Cayrus wants to know how Andy is playing. Well it's a really tight match between two very good grass court players. It's all going with serve in the fourth set - 4-3 to Roddick. Meanwhile, over on Centre Court, Marion Bartoli now has a 3-0 lead in the deciding set. This would really be the shock of the day if Henin didn't make the final. 6.49pm: This game between Bartoli and Henin is at a critical stage. It's still 2-0 Bartoli in the third set and it's the millionth time its gone back to deuce in this game. 6.46pm: Essie Anumel of the US fear's that they've jinxed Andy Roddick. Right before he lost the third set against Richard Gasquet, Essie was thinking that Andy was going to be only man to reach the semis without losing a set. "Sorry Essie," says Essie. 6.45pm: There's something of a shock developing on Centre Court. Marion Bartoli has broken Henin and holds a 2-0 lead in the deciding set. She's playing quite magnificantly out there at the moment. 6.38pm: There are a lot of giggles and blushes in the press interview room as Jelena Jankovic and Jamie Murray are holding court. There has been a lot of talk in the media about them being more than just a mixed doubles pairing and they certainly seem to be enjoying teasing the press withouth saying much one way or another. 6.37pm: The Henin-Bartoli match is really settling down into a good match now. I must admit, Henin looked to storming away with it, but Bartoli has produced a gutsy performance. Henin had two break points off the Bartoli serve but the Frenchwoman won the next four points in a row to win the game. Bartoli just refuses to give up in this game. 6.28pm: Marion Bartoli has taken the second set of her match to square her semi with Justine Henin at a set apiece. 6.22pm: Michael Finnegan of the US has asked how many more games will be played tongiht. Well the order of play lists a great number of boys' and girls' doubles in the TBA category at the bottom of the page. My guess is that they will keep the players out there as long as they can, not least as they only started the junior doubles events today. On No.1 Court Gasquet has taken the third set of his match with Roddick on a tie-break, while it is 6-5 Bartoli-Henin on Centre Court. 6.18pm: Over on No.1 Court, Andy Roddick and Richard Gasquet are battling away in the last of today's men's quarter-finals. After edging the Frenchman in the first two sets, the third set has gone to a tie-break. 6.14pm: I may have spoken too soon. Marion's broken Justine again and it's now 4-4 in the second set. After being blown away in the first set by the top seeded Belgian, Bartoli has shown spirit out there. She holds her serve and now has a 5-4 lead in the second set. 6.10pm: David back again. Justine's looking like she's going to reach her second Wimbledon final in two years. She's a break up in the second and is serving. Venus is in the press interview room. 5.57pm: And yet more love coming in for Novak. Vesna writes: “Watching Djokovic yesterday and today was just thrilling - hailing from the same country I was pleased to see him progress - with such great tennis! And fair play. It feels great that Serbia is associated with great sportspeople at the moment”. 5.45pm: Sonny from the USA would like a weather update. Your wish is my command. I’ve just hopped out of the office and I can confirm the sky above the All England Club is blue! There are a few white fluffy cloud and even sunshine! Looks likes play will continue late into the evening. 5.40pm: Time for a lightning quick update from the show courts. Henin has just taken the first set 6-1. At this rate there will be 6 or 7 matches on Centre before the day is out. Over to Court 1 and Roddick has the second set in the bag 6-4. 5.31pm: Jamie Murray seems to have put his Men’s doubles exit behind him. The Scotsman is all smiles out on Court 14 with Jelena Jankovic. And the mixed doubles duo have just booked their place in the quarter-finals with a straight sets victory over Julian Knowle and Tiantian Sun. 5.20pm: Stjepan from Croatia has spotted the top four men’s seeds look set to make it into the semi-finals. If Roddick wins it will be only the 3rd time the top four seeds at SW19 have reached their appointed places in the semi finals. FYI - Henin is out on Centre and is already 3-1 up against Bartoli. 5.07pm: Patricia from Uruguay tells me that Roddick/Gasquet wasn’t the only fashion no-no of the day. She quite rightly pointed out Baghdatis and Djokovic were wearing the same gear as well. Returning to the action, a certain big serving American has just taken the first set although Gasquet is leading the ace count 5-3. 4.57pm: Venus fans prepare to jump from your desks and pump your fist (ala Tim Henman) with delight. The three-time winner has booked her place in the final after Ivanovic shanked a backhand wide. It will be the American’s 6th appearance in the final! 4.50pm: There’s a lot of love out there for Djokovic and Baghdatis. Niki from Malaysia was particularly delighted with the way they conducted themselves on court. She emailed: “What sportsmanship! In today's day and age, lots of sportsmen (from the tennis world and beyond) can learn from the two gentlemen,”. 4.43pm: Maybe we spoke too soon, Venus is now a break up. Rumours are flying around the all England Club that Baghdatis had some celebrity support out on Court 1 in the form of pop sensation George Michael. Any Wham! based puns would be warmly received. 4.36pm: Returning to more important matters, Venus broke Ana, then Ana broke Venus so we’re back all square at 3-3. Here in the office we think Miss Ivanovic might be a slow starter. After all, she was a break, a set and three match points down against Vaidisova before pulling through and securing victory. 4.25pm: Hello log fans. Paul here taking the reigns for the time being. I begin with news of a fashion disaster out on Court 1. Mr Roddick and Monsieur Gasquet have rocked up in near identical Lacoste outfits. Oh the embarrassment they must be feeling. If wasn’t for the little zip on Hot Rod’s shirt, and Gasquet’s cap being back to front, you wouldn’t be able to spot the difference. 4.18pm: Phew! After that wonderful match between Baghdatis and Djokovic, it will be Andy Roddick and Richard Gasquet on No.1 Court. Just to remind you, Justine Henin's semi against Marion Bartoli has been moved to Centre Court and will now take place after the Venus-Ana match. Incidently, both players held onto their serves in the first couple of games in the second set. The score is now 1-1 in the set. 4.11pm: Venus takes the first set 6-2 while on No.1 Court, Novak is serving for the match and a spot in the last four. He wins the marathon match after Baggy nets. The players embrace afterwards and there appears to be genuine respect between the two of them, with Novak not only recognising the applause but also wanting the crowd to acknowledge the role of his defeated opponent in a quite brilliant match. It finished 7-6, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5 in one minute less than five hours 4.04pm: Novak holds onto his serve and then at 0-30 on Baghdatis' serve, Baggy has a simple shot to win the point. However, he nets and Djokovic has three break points. He only needs one and he's now serving for a place in his first Wimbledon semi-final with the score 6-5 in the deciding set. 4.03pm: Back on No.1 Court it's all gone to serve in the Baggy-Novak match. It's 5-4 Baghdatis at the moment with Djokovic serving. Meanwhile on Centre, Ana holds onto her serve to make it 5-2 but she really doesn't have any answers to Venus' service game and the three-time champion will be looking to wrap up the set in the next game. 3.57pm: Latest news from the Referee's Office - Justine Henin's semi-final against Marion Bartoli has been moved from No.1 Court to Centre Court. It will be the next match on Centre after the Venus-Ana match. 3.56pm: Ana shows the first inkling of some fight, saving a slew of break points before eventually saving her serve. It's now 4-1 to Venus. Meanwhile, Roger's in the press interview room. Multi-talented Federer is not only a whizz on the tennis court but also with languages - he'll do his interviews in English, French and German 3.46pm: Ana plays her best tennis of the match on the way to getting two break points against the mighty Venus serve. However, the American saves both of them and then goes on to hold onto her serve. Paul here in the office announces that Venus is looking 'awesome'. She now holds a 4-0 lead. 3.41pm: Erin Bell of the United States has written in to asking us whether Roddick is consistent enough to take down Gasquet. The consensus here in the office is that Roddick will sweep past the Frenchman, but Jon, ever the loner, thinks that Gasquet will not only beat Roddick but could even beat the mighty Fed should they meet in the semi-final. Remember you heard it here first. In the semi on Centre, Venus has broken Ana again to establish a 3-0 lead. It's all-square on No.1 at 2-2. 3.38pm: Venus breaks Ana in the opening game of their semi-final and then holds onto her serve to take an early 2-0 lead. Meanwhile, Baggy and Novak hold onto their serves in the fifth set of their match. It now stands at 2-1 Baghdatis. 3.33pm: Niek Tabak of the Netherlands has written in asking whether the semi-final between Justine Henin and Marion Bartoli will move to Centre Court. Well, Niek, it's possible. They are rattling through matches a lot quicker on Centre today than on No.1 Court so a relatively swift match between Venus and Ana could well mean that they move Justine and Marion. If I hear anything from the Ref's Office, I'll let you know. 3.27pm: Venus and Ana are warming up on Centre Court at the moment, while on No.1 Court it is Djokovic who is having some treatment on his back. It's not surprising that his body is complaining: he's put it through two four hour matches in two days (he beat Lleyton yesterday on Court 1 in another thrilling match). However, Baggy and Novak are now gearing themselves up for the deciding set in what has been a remarkable and gripping quarter-final. 3.18pm: Back on No.1 Court, Baggy wins the fourth set after the ball hits the net cord and bouces fortuitously on the other side of the netto take the match into a fifth set. After winning the set, Baghdatis rushes off court quickly. 3.17pm: Job done for Roger. He wins his match against Ferrero 7-6, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 after a finely angled cross court shot. Next on Centre Court is the ladies' semi-final match between Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic. 3.13pm: Jon here in the office has reminded me that Djokovic talked about his slippery soles in yesterday's press interview. You can read about it here. 3.10pm: Yet again Novak's trainers let him down and he slips, allowing Baghdatis to pass him and get a break point. Baggy then pounces to break after Djokovic hits wide. It's now all square at 4-4 in the fourth set. It's a quite sensational match for lucky No.1 Court fans. 3.08pm: Solid service game from Ferrero, winning it to love after hitting a beautiful ace wide to Federer's right. However, Federer still leads 4-3 in the set. 3.06pm: Big scream from Ferrero as he hits a return wide. Both players on Centre Court are really struggling with the wind, hitting shots wide and long - the roofless Centre Court doesn't shield the players from blustery conditions in the way that the roof-covered court of old did. Federer holds his serve again and he's now 4-2 up in the fourth set. Meanwhile on No.1 Court, Djokovic finally converts a break point - he's 4-3 up in the fourth set of his marathon encounter with Baggy. It's edging toward 4 hours and would be his second four hour match in two days. 2.58pm: I hope I didn't speak too soon. Fed's had to save break point against Ferrero but manages to cling onto his serve. Nigel in the office here says that conditions are not easy for the players out there. Not only is it windy but the ball is bouncing really high on Centre Court today, with some of the bounces reaching shoulder-height. For all you anecdotal fans out there, a ball girl has had to remove a plastic bottle that flew onto the court. 2.52pm: The Fed Express is now back on track again. He's broken Ferrero and now leads 2-1 in the fourth set. This pleases Pasko Pancirov of Croatia who says that it was an amazing third set from Federer. It certainly was Pasko - he seemed to brush away a few cobwebs, oiled down the joints and now is looking as smooth as ever. By the way, Federer won the third set is only 19 minutes. 2.49pm: Back to No.1 Court and Djokovic squanders two more break points against Baggy. He's now had 14 in this match but has only taken 3 of them. I'm not sure if this says more about Baghdatis' gritty resiliance or Novak's inability to capitalise on all these opportunities. Marcus eventually holds the service game and now leads 2-1. It's a quite astonishing game so far. 2.42pm: Now that's not something you see often - Federer's just been lobbed brilliantly by Ferrero. He goes on to hold his opening service game of the fourth set. 2.40pm: Fed takes the third set against Ferrero fairly comfortably. He now holds a two sets to one lead. 2.38pm: Roger has come out all guns a-blazing after losing the second set. He's broken Ferrero and he's serving for the set with the score standing at 5-1 in third set. Meanwhile, Rafa's in the press interview room. 2.34pm: Marcus Baghdatis has just won the tie-break in the third set in his quarter-final against Novak Djokovic. Meanwhile, Federer's looking like he's getting back in the swing of things. After losing the second set, he's broken Ferrero and is now 4-1 up in the third set. 2.33pm: Vannessa Williams, whose husband is a service steward (they are the guys and girls from the armed forces who assist spectators into their seats on the show courts) wants to know if there will be play on Monday. She wants to take him out for a meal and can't book the table until she knows. Well, like with everything this year at Wimbledon it depends on the weather. If we can get through all the juniors and doubles in the next couple of days we may - and I mean may - be able to squeeze everything in by Sunday night. It's going to be tough, and it will mean a lot of players playing twice - or even three times - in a day, but if the weather holds up, anything's possible. 2.25pm: Tie-break in the Baggy-Novak match in the third set... Look at the live scores to see who's winning each point. It's a lot quicker than I can type... 2.24pm: Federer's dropped his first set in this year's Championships against Juan Carlos Ferrero. Despite everything I said earlier about him starting to get the groove, he's not at his best. Mind you, Juan Carlos is playing a blinder out there. Maybe that five day break that Roger 'enjoyed' has affected his sharpness. Remember he didn't play at Halle after the French Open. 2.17pm: Federer looks to be somewhat out of sorts. He has been broken in his match against Fererro and his girlfriend is looking a tad concerned. It's now 5-3 Ferrero in the second set. Meanwhile, Djokovic has a break point... which Baggy saves. However, Novak gets another break point and then Baggy double faults. It's now 5-5 and the Cypriot is reduced to sitting in the linesman's chair. This really is some match out there on No.1 Court. 2.08pm: There's a wind of change on No1. Court. Marcus Baghdatis was 3-1 down in this set and looked to be heading out of Wimbledon and now he's got the wind in his sails, winning the last 4 games in a row. He's now 5-3 and playing absolutely beautifully. Federer/Ferrero on Centre Court is going with serve at the moment at 3-3. 2.03pm: Baggy's playing brilliantly on No.1 Court. He's just broken Djokovic to love and now is a break up at 4-3. His fans are - as ever - deliriously happy. 1.59pm: Fed's starting to get into a groove now and takes the fourth game of the second set with an ace down the centre of the court. Baggy's supporters are cheering wildly as he squares up the third set of his match against Novak 3-3 on No.1 Court... 1.58pm: Don't want to worry any of you out there but there is a nasty dark cloud hoving over SW19 at the moment. Hopefully it will pass. 1.56pm: Novak slips again in his No.1 Court match as Baggy has a break point. I've lost count how many times he's slipped over - he really needs better grips on his trainers... he then hits a shot long and Baggy gets the break point. Baggy's Cypriot following in the stands are jubiliant - maybe this match isn't over yet... 1.53pm: Remember that we've got live scores, video, radio and 3d animations here on the Wimbledon website. Click on the links above and you shall go there. They are all automatic so they'll be far quicker and more reliable than me trying to give you point-by-point updates. Ferrero hold his serve to take the first game of the second set. 1.47pm: Roger takes the first set off Juan Carlos in the tie-break. After looking a tad rusty yesterday, he's looking much sharper today. 1.45pm: Novak's just broken Baggy on No.1 Court. He's now 2-0 up in the third set. We're in a tie-break on Centre Court with the Roger-Juan Carlos match. Tomas Berdych is now in the press interview room and looks thoroughly miserable. 1.39pm: Roger takes the first game in his rain-affected match against Juan Carlos Ferrero. Federer now leads 6-5 and Juan Carlos is serving... 1.35pm: The subject of Jelena Jankovic has just come up in the Murray/Butorac interview and little Jamie can't stop blushing and smiling. However, although he says she is 'good fun', that is only a 'purely professional' relationship between them 1.33pm: Jamie Murray and Eric Butorac are in the press interview room looking pretty downhearted after their loss to Diouhy/Vizner earlier today. We'll have the full transcript up shortly. 1.32pm: Baggy's having some treatment on his right shoulder. Hopefully it's not too serious. 1.31pm: Helen tells me that Djokovic saved six set points in that last set against Baghdatis. She's says it's a quite astonishing match with brilliant tennis. At this point in time I really should be telling you to check out Wimbledon LIVE to watch this match on your PC. But you all know about Wimbledon LIVE anyway, so I don't need to point you here. Roger's just walked on Centre Court and in those dapper trousers he wears in warm-up, he looks like a Fred Perry look-a-like. 1.27pm: Beci's gone off to cover a match so it's David here to take you through the early afternoon here. The match on No.1 Court is really steaming up now. The second set has gone to Novak Djokovic after he edged out Baghdatis in a tie-break 11-9. The Beeb's Sue Barker has informed us that it is the eighth tie-break the Serb has won at Wimbledon this year. 1.20pm - Nadal is through to the semi-finals! He raced through the third set with the loss of just two games. 1.15pm: Bad new for Jamie Murray and Eric Butorac fans I'm afraid. The Brit/American pairing have just crashed out of the men’s doubles to the ninth seeds Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner in four sets. 1.05pm - Nadal is storming through now. He’s now 4-1 up in the third against Berdych. Molik and Santangelo have recorded a comfortable 6-4, 6-1 victory over beaten Peng and Yan to move into the semi-finals of the women’s doubles. Srebotnik and Sugiyama are also through to the semi’s after beating Sun and Likhovtseva in straight sets 6-4, 7-6. 1.02pm - More drama on No. 1 Court. Djokovic has just smashed his racket and received a code violation. 12.57pm - Pierce Brosnan, AKA super-spy James Bond, is soaking up the sunshine on Centre Court. I must say he looks rather dapper in his suit. I've always been a Brosnan fan. The Royal Box is actually quite rammed today with a selection of senior business personnel and TV veterans Michael Parkinson and Sir David Frost. 12.50pm - Rafa's just taken the second set 6-4 against Tomas Berdych. I thought Berdych might prove a tough opponent for the Spaniard however I don't think there is any way back for him. Nadal's confidence looks sky high - he's even paid a few successful visits to the net. 12.45pm - Melo and Sa are in formidable form. Fellow web logger Sally is currently covering the match and says, in her words, the Brazilian duo are 'dancing all over the court with their lightning reactions.' Hooray! They've just beaten the number three seeds Knowles and Nestor to move into the semi-finals of the men's doubles. They really are so much fun to watch. 12.43pm - Helen’s just got back from No. 1 Court with news of drama at the end of the first set. A ball boy appeared to twist his ankle with Djokovic standing at set point. Not wanting to cause a scene, the ball boy soldiered on – clearly in pain and hobbling around. On the next set point Baghdatis realised something was up, put his arm around the ball boy and help arrived in the form of two burly groundsmen who lifted the patient off the court. Djokovic promptly lost the next set point but recovered in the tie break to take the first set. Dimitris Kleftakos of Germany has overcome a second set slump to beat Jonathan Eysseric of France 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9). Due to the bad weather, all matches in the junior tournament are forced into a match tie-break if the scoreline is level at one set all. Meanwhile 15th seeded junior girl Bonjana Jovanovski has beaten Anastasia Pivovarova 6-4, 6-3 on Court 16. 12.35pm - Rafa has just broken to take a 4-2 lead against Berdych in the second set on Centre Court. He looks in no mood to mess around today. Baghdatis and Djokovic are level at 2-2. I reckon that match could go either way at the moment as neither player is giving an inch. I'm so glad to report there is actually proper sunshine over the SW19! A few umbrellas are still out - but instead of being used for shelter they are being used to shade people. Hooray! 12.20pm - Time for a quick flutter around the courts. In the girl's singles, Aussie Alison Bai is through to the third round after a 7-6, 7-6 victory over the 11th seed Kai-Chen Chang. And over on Court 19, sixth seed junior boy Greg Jones has put in a very convincing performance to beat Tim Van Terheijden, of the Netherlands, 6-1, 6-2 and on Court 10, Ricardas Berankis has beaten Brit Graeme Dyce 7-6, 6-2. 12.10pm - Oh dear. Maybe Marcos' run is not going to continue. He's just lost the first set on a tie-break to Novak Djokovic. Meanwhile, Nadal is a set and a break to the good against big-serving Tomas Berdych. 12.05am - Lakis from Cyprus reckons Marcos Baghdatis is not being given enough credit. He correctly points out his countryman’s won 13 of his 15 games on grass since last year's semi-final. He writes: “He is more of an all rounder than most other players and after his change of coach he is mixing his game more. His strength is the high percentage of points earned on the first and second serve in”. What do you reckon? Could he be a threat to Roger Federer's throne? 11.51am - Turning our attention to Court 5, the record breaking Brazilians are back in action in a quarter-final clash. Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa made history earlier in the tournament after winning the final set of their second round match 28-26. They are currently a set up against the No. 3 seeds, Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor. 11.50am - Top seeded junior girl Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia is looking a good bet to add Wimbledon to her junior Grand Slam haul of one US Open and two Australian Open titles. The 16-year-old has just beaten Dutch youngster Arantxa Rus 6-4, 6-1 on Court 11. Nadal and Berdych are currently 5-5 in the first set. Will it be another five-setter for Rafa? 11.45am - Good morning. It's Beci here on day 11 of The Championships. Hope you're all having a good day. Just thought I'd give you a little update on the weather situation at SW19. Well, it's a tad windy but it doesn't look like there will be any rain short-term. The skies are fairly clear and there is even a hint of sunshine breaking through the clouds! Fingers crossed we should be able to get through the back log of matches. Drop us an email if you want any questions answered or would like to post your comments. 11.42am - Svetlana Kuznetsova put yesterday's defeat to Venus Williams behind her to team up with partner Nadia Petrova in the ladies' doubles. They've just beaten Husarova and Shaughnessy 6-3, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals. 11.40am - Novak Djokovic looks like he's going to take the first set against the Cypriot Baghdatis. He held his serve to go 5-2 up. It's still going to serve on Centre Court - at 3-3 Nadal-Berdych. 11.36am - Novak Djokovic has broken Marcus Baghdatis on No.1 Court while on Centre Court it is 2-2 in the match between Tomas Berdych and Rafael Nadal. 11.00am - Play has now started around the grounds. With a full programme, it is all shaping up to be a great day's action at the All England Club. Written by AELTC
